Brady W. Dougan (born 1959) is a US businessman. He is the Chief Executive Officer's Credit Suisse. Prior to that Dougan was Chief Executive Officer Investment Banking and acting Chief Executive Officer Credit Suisse Americas (since January 2006)
Education. He has served on the Executive Board since 2003. Mr. Dougan received a B.A. in Economics in 1981 and an M.B.A. in Finance in 1982 from the University of Chicago, Illinois.
Career. After starting his career in the derivatives group at Bankers Trust, he joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1990. He was the Head of the Equities division for five years, before he was appointed Global Head of the Securities division in 2001. From 2002 to July 2004, he was Co-President, Institutional Services at Credit Suisse First Boston, and from 2004 until the merger with Credit Suisse in May 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse First Boston. From May 2005 to year-end 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of the Credit Suisse First Boston division at the Bank. From January 2006 he was CEO Investment Banking and acting CEO Credit Suisse Americas, since 2007 he is the Group CEO.
