After a long, dark and freezing winter, the spring is finally kicking off in London.

Although the spring officially starts with the spring equinox on the 21st of March, mother nature granted us with an entire week of sunshine and warm weather.

I believe the best time to visit London is spring! Well according to this photo it is, isn't it?

When I woke up last Saturday morning, the sun was already high in a beautiful immaculate blue sky. It was the beginning of a brilliant weekend. I juped on my phone and figured out a place to meet with some colleagues from the work placement. We decided to meet in the Victoria park for an improvised picnic. Each of us brought something to eat and something to drink.

As we are all international students or international graduates, you can easily figure out that our picnic was as international and multicultural as we are. Lots of colours, flavours and wonderful tastes. Our picnic consisted in sangria + tortilla from Spain, sushi (with wasabi and soy sauce) + some fruit juice from Japan, lamb and bacon sandwiches + cider from the UK, maatjes + beer from Holland, cheese and bread + red wine from France, fish salad + wine from Portugal, sausages from Germany, some yummy South Korean food which I can't remember the name, some Parma ham and other things from Italy, crackers and a drink from Sweden, some chocolate from Belgium and lots and lots of other delicious things from all over Europe and the world. As food lovers we are, we did all enjoy this kind of international gourmet afternoon.

Meeting up with the other interns from Internship UK is always good fun. London offers us lots of possibilities to organise parties and all kind of activities. Every time we meet, we get to know each other better and better and when we go back to work on Monday we feel much closer to each other. Trust me, doing an internship is fun fun fun while inside and outside the office.

The week is almost over and we hope the good weather gonna stay with us to celebrate the beginning of the spring.

Yesterday, I had a good rest at home and made a plan for me and my boyfriend. We planed to go outside London for a couple of days in May, because my boyfriend is leaving in May, and I haven't had a good time with him. I have to save my holiday from this week, that means I am going to work 6 days per week and just take one day off. If I keep doing this till May, I can save 12 days holiday, that is very good, because 12 days we can totally go outside London. The first stop we are going to is Manchester. It is very luck that we got the 1 pound coach ticket from National Express, the ticket fare are just 4 pounds for us to go and come back.

I think there are several things that are necessary to prepare before our jouney. First, we must check where are the places of interest in Manchester, because we have only two days time there, we cannot waste our time on finding the way. Second, looking for a hostel or home stay such as what we did in Edinburgh. A good rest equals to a good lunch. Third, decide  if we need a bus tour or not. Bus tour alway cost much more than the accommodation fee and ticket fare as well. If we decide not to go with a bus tour, we have to have a perfect plan of where to visit on foot. Fourth, calculating the money before we depart. Fith, prepare enough food and drinks. cause maybe the food there would be expensive. Sixth, last but not least, we should take some small gifts, because we maybe live in a local family.Seventh, take all the chargers along with us, expecially camera charger.

Now I feel so exiting although I still have one month to leave. Exciting just about the tour, because after the tour my lover will leave for China, that is the one thing I hope not coming at all.

It's me again!

Although I had a long holiday before (8 days together with my boyfriend who visited me in London, where I do my internship), I am already very exhausted! I really like my work, but I feel like it's a must to take a free day tomorrow!

Together with my flatmate Madeleine, I will have a free Tuesday Laughing! Our plan is to sleep long and to have a very tasty and large breakfast and then we will rush into the city, destination: CAMDEN!!!!! I really like shopping and that's what I like best about London! You go to one of those large shopping areas, like Camden, Knightsbridge, Portobello or Oxford Street, and you lose your mind while you find all these unique clothes, shoes and accessories!

Paradise for girls, seriously!! I advise you to spend at least one day shopping, when you come to London! And it is even better if you have more time in this city, for example if you do an internship here. You will have enough time to get dressed with everything you like Tongue out!

Ok, guys, wish me luck, so that I can find something tomorrow!!!

You will read me soon!Cool

Tonight we will have a goodbye dinner for two interns who are finishing their internships soon.

At the moment I am really looking forward to it, because we will eat in a nice italian restaurant near Oxford Circus in London. But on the other hand, I am very sad that the two of them are leaving us. It is always hard to say goodbye to people who you worked with for a long time. Especially when they are very  nice, lovely and funny.

In my internship at gift-tours.com in London, I got to know a lot of nice people. It is so nice to work together with lots of young people. You can share experiences with them and can talk about your problems or stuff like that. It is always very funny, because everybody has a different obsession and you can benefit from it or you can make fun of it (but in a positive way)! I really like the spirit of it.

So, it is very sad that two of us are leaving now. I saw a lot of interns leaving until now, it is a little weird that I am probably the next...

So, see you soon!I will go and say goodbye Undecided!

Hy guys!!Laughing

Today I'd like to finally write my own blog about my internship experience in London, UK. Since the beginning of february I am doing an internship in a company called gift-tours.com/studios92.com. I found the internship by accident when I kind of travelled through the net. I discovered internship-uk.com and was really glad that I applied for this internship.

tour london uk accommodation london uk worldwide

When it was time to go on the plane and to go to London, I was really excited. When I started to work, I felt like having too much new information in my head on the very first day. I was supposed to work in the markeitng department and to do all this work you have to have a lot of knowledge. I needed all this information for the following working days and I soon recognized that you can get used to this work very easy by just doing it. I learned a lot by doing and by trying things on my own. You can really work independently on your own project and this I liked best. You got a lot of responsibility for your work.

But what was actually my task? In the marketing department I was supposed to modify and to improve websites under marketing strategies. My first project was a German website for accomodation in London. I work hard on it and it's improving.

I really like this work here! The best is that you can see the results immediately. You do something and you can see what you have done. I also think that this kind of work will help me for my studies I will have to finish next year. I am becoming a European Secretary and marketing is very important for this kind of job.

But not only for the studies and the work experience the internship is a very good thing to do. In the personal way, you can learn a lot as well. You get used to meet foreign people and to get to know them. You have to deal with everyday problems like buying your food or how to travel around in the big city of London. In my opinion you really grow when you do an internship abroad. I really appreciate that!

So, I will keep you updated! Unfortunately, my internship here will finish soon, but until this happens, I will try to keep this blog on the move...

CU, Cheers, Ina

Incredible...I was talking about "club in London" with my colleague and she spoke well of The Fabric Club. It seems it opens at 10 and close at 9.00 in the morning! It's perfect because you can take the tube instead of the taxi! So, I thought..I will think about it!

Yesterday, clicking on a link among the event section of this website, I discover that in this club there will be the Chemical Brother concert!Wow! At the moment it'is the only group that I'd like to join for a concert! What a coincidence!

Last two weeks I worked on Saturday and Sunday as well for my internship but now I think is time to take a day-off for Chemical Brothers!!I'm so happy about it!Hope to find at least 2 tickets!

Friday, yesterday, two important things happened. The first thing is I cooked for 12 people in London Office, and it was kind of successful, The second thing is we've got a promotion party, and I got promotion as well. In fact all the trainee in London Office got promotion yesterday, because recently we did a lot of good work and help our website move forward. We have new interns come everyday, I am an old intern now, because I am a duty staff. We had a party to celebrate it last night, we had a lot of nice food to eat and we also had an joyful chat. Working in London for one month already, I did learned a lot. From the knowledge to the communication skills, from no talk to anyone to make jokes of everyone, whereas, I still have a lot to learn. I am happy because the first month, I 80% content with my work of the first month in London.

I am working today, this  is the second saturday I workedon. Actually, I like working on Saturday because the office is quiet and I can concentrate on my blogs. You can find out that my blogs of the weekdays are shorted than the ones I write on Saturday.

Tomorrow is Sunday, I am going to spend one leisure day with my boyfriend and make a plan for both of us for the next month. I like improving day by day, I don't like standstill. I remember there was one conversation between Phoebe and her boyfriend (Friends): "If we don't move forward, we move backward" said her boyfriend, "No? If we don't move forward, then, we, we standstill" said Phoebe~~~~ I agree that if we don't move forward, then we move backward. Wish myself and my boyfriend will do a good job next month!!

Last week my team and I achieved all the targets we were working on and finished our project on time! We were proud of our great achievement and the marketing manager was happy with the final result as well. On Friday, me and my team's mates went for a drink to celebrate!! Laughing

Since yesterday, I have already started working on a new project. Two teams are working closely on this project, a marketing team composed by 3 people and an IT team composed by 2 people. Of course I'm a member of the marketing team. I have never worked with the other 2 members of the marketing team but I'm sure we gonna do a great job together.

The project is huge and required a lot of skills but with all the marketing techniques and other skills I have learned and sthrengten during my last project I feel very enthusiastic and confident about that project!

So team let's kick off this project and meet our targets as soon as possible! Together we can do it Cool

My sixth week just finished. I gave worked 38 days, most of the time 7 days a week. So what have I achieved in all this time? What do I do every day here at internship uk. Most of the time I am sitting behind my desk, That does not mean that this is a boring job. It is very interesting and I learn a lot. I have already learned a lot here and I am sure it will benefit me if I would like to apply for a job in  the future.

offical warningMy current status is duty supervisor. This means that i have a more work, more responsibility, less free time. And most important, more smileys!!CoolCryEmbarassedFoot in mouthFrownInnocentKissLaughingMoney mouthSealedSmileSurprisedTongue outUndecidedWinkYell. No but serieously. Being a duty supervisor means that you show initiative to contribute to the company and that you have reached the level that you know what the comapny is about and can work independently on projects and come up with proposals.

In these six weeks I have worked on several projects such as updating the internship-uk website with new departments, writing newsletters, I have recently completed the SEO and  translation website for studio-solution. I did this project together with my team member Dries. Projects that are still running are for exemple the Advertising Project.

As you can see, I learn a lot here. I would like to tell you more, but I have to go back to work now!

Bye bye

Here is a lovely poem (by William Wordsworth) about the flower of spring, the daffodils.

"I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed-and gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils"

William Wordsworth

I love this poem

We stride right to the strife!

the time break down our life

the blue take me down every time

Backdown is not our deadline

burying the sorrow hush our shine

All we have to do is try

or all you'll find to do is cry

Lost soul run out of breath

Astray feelings are facing death

I let every thing slide

and a new hope go out of sight

Sobs are the solely sound

where our times could be found?

All we have to do is stare the sky

and all we'll find to do is cry.

I am currently doing an internship for an online marketing company, and have this question that needs answering, life, how complex it is, what is that next step, my internship is going to end in a few months and I am still yet to decide what I shall do, I have graduated but still have a need to study further. I have learnt so much from my internship and feel like I can learn so much more. A wise person once told me, youth, cherish every moment, moments come and go, as opportunities are there for the taking, and youth is something you can't get back no matter how hard you TRY.

Once in a quizshow. There were an Australian and a priest competing against each other. their scores were equal, so they had to create a verse about "Timbuktu". The priest began:"I was a father, all my life, had no children, had no wife. I read the bible through and through. On my way through Timbuktu!" Then the Australian told his version:" When Tim and I to Brisbane went, we met three ladies cheap to rent. They were three and we were two, so I booked one and Tim booked two!"Cool

Feel free to add some more to stay PMA!Tongue out

One time I traveled with my cousin who is 7 years younger than me. We went to Fujian(China) where is 60 hours by train from my city. He was 14-year-old boy and I had to take care of him. I traveled a lot of places in China, but that is the first time I traveled with someone who is younger than me. So all the time I put all my attention on him. On the whole way I lost almost everything such as cellphone, luggage, the food we bought in the supermarket, the only thing I did not lose was him, that was lucky!

To be honest, I even lost him when we were on the coach. I was sleeping while he was told to get off the coach in the middle of the jouney (20 hours coach trip). But fortunetly he didn't, I was so scared when I heard of this. What if I lost him?

Now everything has became the past, I would never  be scared of anyting. I have the experience travelling alone in another country. I will go to some part of China we I finish everything in UK, I would take all my family to have a good trip.

Hello everybody!!

I am writing from London, during my second week of my internship at studios92.

Thise experience is giving me very good feelings and emotions...

The city is soooo beutiful and my internship in e-marketing is soooo interesting.

I am learning everyday something new and is really satisfying the fact that in this company they give you responsabilities and important tasks since the first days!

And the life in the office is everyday more funny! My collegues are adorable and as soon as we have some time, we go out all together...next Thursday is planned a night in one of the most beautiful club in London!!

The spring has come also here, even if I thought it would have come later...I think that in one or two weeks we will be able to leave at home the coat and wear something more summer!!

And my English is improving every day more, because I have always to speak and write in English, and it's very helpuful! Maybe in a few time I will start also to think in English!

Wow, this international internship is giving me the time of my life!

This week I worked on Saturday and on Sunday as well....I'm so tired! Anyway, working on Sunday is awesome! We were only four in the office and I chose my computer near the window. It was sunny...I love sunny days! As you know I' in London for my intership and I had to work but the sun shined on my position and it was so relaxing!

I plan to go to the theatre tonight. My friend would like to go and see "Les Miserables" at Queens theatre but actually I'd like to see "The phantom of the opera" ....we'll see!

Anyway, I love staying here!

If there is one place that has left a deep impression to me, than at is northern Ireland, more specificly, Belfast and the history around the troubles.

The first time I visited ireland I was 18 years old. I went on a field trip of ten days. in those ten days i visited the entire country, Dublin, aran islands, giant's causeway and so on and so on.
peace wall belfast

Of all these places I visited, Northern Ireland made the biggest impression on me. I did not know the entire story of the troubles, the history behind it and such. I found it very intreaging. the whole story about the hungerstrikers in the H-blocks, fighting  to get the status of political prisoner and not a terrorist. the impact it had on the country, people and the entire world.

it is amazing. I visited belfast again last year during Christmas holidays. I went to the pub where the first IRA members met and made the plans to form the IRA. A mouvement that would change the history of northern ireland forever.

... who wants can post other jokes and we'll have a short list!!!Cool

1.Physic

The following is an actual question given on University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law, (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave.
Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me byMs. Teresa Banyan during my freshman year, "...that it will be a coldday in Hell before I sleep with you." And take into account the fact that still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then, #2 cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze.

The student received the only "A"

Hallo miteinanderCool

2 weitere Praktika in Deutschland gemacht.SmileTongue out

Boy boy boy,

Yesterday, almost the whole Internship-UK group went to London to celebrate Saint-Patricks Day. And what a day it promised to be.The wheater couldn't be any better and every last one of us was up for one big party!!!

We started the day in good old Irish fashion.

Scott and Anouk on our way to trafalger Square!!!

Missing the parade because we were sitting in an awesome irish pub. I added some pictures so you can see what it looked like.

Then we went to the meeting point which was the golden arch, you know the symbol... You don't? Let me give you a hint.. " M "... yes it was good old McDonalds. We had a good ol american breakfast, being cheeseburgers and a coke! We then had a picture with a frog. Which was really funny because I asked the woman who held the balloons to take a picture. She was like... yeah but eum balloons and yeah I... So i "borrowed" her balloons so she could take the picture. The expression on her face when i took the balloons was golden. To meet the frog check the picutre :).

After breakfast and some Helium fun, we went to Saintburys for some fuel.. if you know what I mean.

After this "needed pitstop" we went on to trafalger square. The closer we got the greener everything became and the happier the people looked.
We had a small "pitstop" once again and then went to the concert area.

After some more refueling it was time for the first band. They were really good, bringin typical old irish dancing music and by the time they ended every single person, Irish or not, was dancing away.

The next group however killed every single vibe the previous band had created! It was a real shame they let these g*y a** b***erds on the stage.
Luckely we had enough fuel to get through this stage of the day.. by now the partying spirit. As shown on the pictures below.

After a sunny day, full of irish partying with our team we went back to manor house. Well we tried to at least. Mesach was just down and out before we wanted to leave. We had to carry him with like 5 people. Once we arrived with him in the tube station the police kicked us out, since he was to drunk to take the tube. We then went to the next tube station. I and Jiggy lost the group, searched for them and eventually found they had already taken the tube back to manor house.

After a long day full of fun we finally left the london office. Everyone was fast asleep, apart from me and Alex (luckely cause he was driving). We listened a whole AC/DC setlist, singing and drumming along! Final song of the day.. Highway to Hell!

It was one of my best days during my internship... It was one of the best days I've had in my life!!!!

There are many interesting  things  in studios92.com, people will relieve their pressure when they laugh. I am working this Saturday, actually I have prepared for working at weekends for a long time, but I am still not ready for it.

Now there are more and more interns coming to studios92.com, the office becomes smaller. I notice that most of them can speak 3 languages, maybe in 100 years, people can speak 8 languages, who knows.

Hello to everybody..

I\'m a student from Italy. I\'d like to talk to you about how my life changed during my last year at university.

It was September 2007 when my ex boyfriend left me after 4 years...at the time, I\'d never leave Milan for a long period. When I started my Master of Science I start to apply for the Erasmus Exchange Program and I opted for India. After a while I was already there. I stayed nearby New Delhi for 6 months. India is magic!

When I came back to Italy in Dicember I felt so sad. Everything was finished and I had to start my internship in Italy..  my life was so flat! I started to look for an internship abroad. I\'d like to go to London because there were many friends of mine from India and I try to write on Google \"internship in uk\" and I\'d like to know this crazy city as well.

And now...guess what!?!I

Now I\'m living in New Romney (Kent) for a training period, in a lovely, international hostel close to my work place. Next week I\'ll move to London to work and I hope to find time and having a tour around this great city! Besides, I\'m a musicals and theatrical dramas lover and I\'m looking forward to seeing them in many well-known London theatre!Fortunately I find out many  tickets online on Gift.tours.com...I thought to be late!

Finally, I just want to say that that my story is the demostration that \"WHERE THERE\'S A WILL, THERE\'S A WAY!\"

Enjoy your time guys!Cool
