I was so excited yesterday. I received a wonderful email from the Postgraduate office at the University of Kent stating I was accepted into their Law School for a Masters Degree in International Law.  I am super pumped. I just have to get my visa and the money to pay for school and I will be back in August.  I get to see New Romney again, all the new interns as well as the few old ones left and Celine!!! I cant wait to see her and Dino again. Of course there is Ryan too... :P I am excited to be reunited with him again. This summer will be busy making money for school and my trip.  I have two jobs working about 60 hours a week...if my internship taught me one thing it was def. work ethic. I have always had a great work ethic. Of course I have my days when I don't feel like working. However, when I am at work I like to be busy and I tend to work a lot. I can be a workaholic sometimes.  So these two jobs will be very helpful! My internship in the UK showed me there is so much more in the world that I want to be a part of and enjoy.  I loved working for Gift-tours and my co workers were awesome as well as my supervisors.  I am excited to get the chance to go back and see all of them again and hopefully learn some more!

Since coming back home I have realized how great it was to meet so many wonderful people with such diverse backgrounds.  I try and keep in touch with most of them as they are so much fun to talk to and I hope to travel to their countries one day to visit them and learn more about their cultures.  My internship in the UK has helped me grasp how important it is to meet people from other places.  Being from America I do meet different people everyday but to leave my comfort zone and travel abroad and then live and work with people every day was soo different.  I really enjoyed my time at internship uk and I wouldnt trade it for the world.

Well unfortunately I made it home. I kind of wish I had made a run for it at the airport.  Now that I am here I am trying to make the best out of a very unhappy situation. I am working on saving as much money as possible so I can move back to the UK and live my life. I am trying to get a job right now. It is so important for me to pay off my debts and prepare for my future. I don't want to live in the states at least right now. I was much happier in New Romney.  Talking to all of the interns has been really great and yes it does make me miss it even more.  I am counting the days until I can be back.  I miss my entourage nights and movies nights. I miss eating eggs and pasta everyday.  I miss the pub parties and hanging out at the G-Spot. It is very strange to be here when I feel like I should wake up at the hotel in New Romney. I feel I should go downstairs and fidn the kitchen a mess like always get my cup drink some juice and make my way into the office.  I really do miss the work as well. I learned a lot while doing my internship.

I look forward to the future 4 months from now when I am on the plane back to Europe.

Lets go back to last year, May 2008.  I just graduated from University with no idea of what I wanted to do.  I thought about going straight into work, or maybe law school.  I even thought about Grad school.  Then one day after returning home from travelling to Florida to visit Disney World, I had the bright idea to try an internship overseas.  I found Internship-UK and filled out the application within an hour.  I honestly didn't believe I had a chance. I had my interviews and was accepted. I was ecstatic, the chance of a lifetime to move overseas and experience life travelling, interning, and meeting new people.

I was on a plan in September and I arrive in the UK.  My internship since has been so amazing. Interacting with the others from all over the world and working with the sales team here to promote accommodation, travel, sightseeing, and theatre has been truly rewarding. I work for companies that sell tours and theatre tickets

while I also promote accommodation, in hostels, hotels, and studios.  I speak to people from all over the world everyday and have learned to use marketing in my work to succeed in sales.

I had a day today to visit London again.  Harrod's is amazing.  I tell everyone I know that when we die....as long as we are good, God sends us to Harrods.  It is HEAVEN on earth. I think the only place that beats it is Disney World.  I had this amazing ice cream sundae....the only thing I can afford at Harrods. 

I saw this guy today.  Is it weird to see the same guy twice months apart in London a city of over 9 million people?  Well anyone, I saw this same guy almost six months ago the day I arrived in London.  I remember him because he was speaking perfect Italian on the phone and he was soo tall.  When he hung up the phone I realized he was British.  I just remember thinking how strange it was.  Well today I am at the Plaza on Oxford St. and I am minding my own business eating Mc Donalds and I look to my left.  The same guy is sitting  a few seats over from me on his phone....SPEAKING ITALIAN. I couldn't help but stare.  I think I realized that my stay here has come full circle.  Today was my last day going to London.  I leave in less than a month.  I will be back...I am determined. I want to go to school and get my Masters in International Law.
