Internship uk Dublin intern trip
9 March, 20099 March, 2009 0 comments Uncategorized Uncategorized

Medieval castles, rolling hills of green, the cobblestone streets of Dublin; Ireland is a land of fairytales, warm, hospitable inhabitants. Persuit of the historic streets of Temple Bar or visit a small countryside village, just don\'t forget your pint of Guinness while traveling the Emerald Isle.

This is a story about 9 interns 8 different nationalities 7 guys, 2 girls and 1 goal \"hunt the grunt\",
The Dublin adventure started off with a bang on Wednesday the 4th of March 2009, from the moment we departed we had drinks in our hands whistling that vacation tune. A whirlpool of culture is probably one of the best ways of describing it.

DAY 1

Airport blues, our flight was delayed for 2 hours due to \"technical issues\" , that was a good enough reason for me...We soon found out airports dont like David, we then let time pass in the pub next to Mac-Donalds. We eventually ended up at the hostel at around 7ish. When we walked into the hostel nothing but girls, kching! is what popped into our heads. We had pre-drinks and suited up! We ended up at a club called 21 which to me makes no sense as there were girls as young as fourteen in there (R Kelley club) but the beer was cheap and a few people got lucky! ( not mentioning any names :) we then had a group of very \"dirty\" young Norwegian girls in our room later that evening or should I say that morning( it just so happened some were from Ashford and 2 were even from Marsh Academy in New Romney, what are the chances?) an overall excellant night though.

Day 2

Started off with a hangover and no water in the hostel meaning no shower.., we had a tour planned but missed it only by an hour, so we planned our own unique one, which was just random walking in the cobbled streets of Dublin. We took our team spirit to a new level, with all the guys purchasing a pair of bright red stylish 3 euro sunglasses from Penny\'s. These glasses did more than just attract attention they were PIMPing. We had lunch at the church which is a resturant by day and a stylish club by night. Later we proceeded to the Boomerang, where my glasses got \"stolen\" by a very special looking Irish girl, but I wasnt the only one :). There was also a very special bond formed between 2 of our group.. (censored). We ended up at Ricks Burger takeout where there was loads of amusement. We met two french girls whose ltalian wasn\'t to bad as pierpaolo soon found out.

Day 3

Survival of the fittest! The people who weren\'t to hungover slept in, while the rest of us went in search of the Grande Guinness Store House, what an experience. A 10min walk turned into an hour and a half thanks to our tour guide Djoeni very scenic though. There is a tasting section in Guinness which we all took advantage of - mostly Jen, until Octavio got busted for being to greedy. The history and the tour was very interesting and the view from the top 360 glass bar magnificent, topped off with a free pint of Gusiness - and you have a great combination. That night we got \"suited\" up and headed for the great Temple Bar, we started off in a very Irish Pub then moved onto Club Sin which wasn\'t very Sinful, we then went to club M where we were on the guestlist kching! Club M was great besides for Pierpaolo causing fights lol.

Day 4

We all woke up feeling kinda hungover, but some more than others...
We decided to do the 3 hour walking tour of Dublin with good old Barry (the tour guide) very interesting character I must say, our tour only lastest 2 hours I think, we ended up in a Kebab resturant? my stomach suffered a little I have to admit. We then boarded the plane for a really dodgy flight. But what an amazing time we all had. There are loads more interesting things that happened.... but what happens in Dublin stays in Dublin.

When I die I want to decompose in a barrel of porter and have it served in all the pubs in Dublin.
